As a special treat to myself after working/living in Haiti for a year (including the earthquake), I splurged on the Keratin hair process before a friend's wedding last summer. Naturally, the stylist strongly suggested the Keratin shampoo and conditioner, extolling its many virtues as if this stuff were going to change my life. Under normal circumstances, I politely refuse all of the bells and whistles offered to me by hair people, knowing that it never works as well at home as it does in the salon, but since I had just dropped several hundred dollars having my hair processed, I figured why not spend another fifty on shampoo and conditioner? As it turned out, this stuff did change my life, or at least the life of my hair! I am thoroughly converted to the sulfate/sulfide-free concept, and I particularly love the effect the Keratin products have on my normally unruly hair. I have medium-thick, wavy-curly hair that tends to get big and frizzy, especially in humidity. As I mentioned, I have lived and worked in Haiti for some time, so getting my hair 'did' every day is really not a priority for me. I loved the Keratin process b/c I had beautiful, sleek, shiny hair for four whole months, and I love their shampoo/conditioner even more b/c every time I use these products my hair is humidity-resistant and far more manageable than before.
